Darrell

Darrell is a 26 year old Savannah native that is truly one of the city’s hidden jewels. Darrel has been dancing since the tender age of 5, with one of his first shows being Disney’s Broadway version of The Lion King. Darrell was one of the first members of AWOL back in 2005 and was one of the choreographers that made the first show truly a spectacular event. He has taught classes for various local dance companies such as Maxine Patterson’s School of Dance and is a contributing member of the KoKumo Dance Company. Darrell’s time with AWOL allowed him to give back to younger youth through mentorship and dance training. His passion for dance is relentless and unyielding making him not only an asset to AWOL but to the entire community. At AWOL, youth volunteers help make the difference.
