Joey

After being in the audience for a performance of AWOL’s Fourth Annual Hip Hop History Play, Joey approached Tony Jordan and said that he wanted to be involved. A gifted musician, who also plays in the band at his high school, Joey began showing up to PROJECTS 3 classes and producing several of the beats that appear on the album. Now he has become a full-fledged member of the PROJECTS 4 class and a diligent student of music and producing. AWOL programming provides him with a valuable outlet for his creative energy and helps keep him focused on positive behavior by staying productive. Joey is also learning how to fine-tune his raw talent by learning to properly mix his beats, a skill that will undoubtedly catapult him to the next level as a producer.
